In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Teacher Space Ltd; "you" and "your" refer to you, the customer or member.
2. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Teacher Space website and your membership. By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using our content, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify members. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
3. Our content and its purpose — important
Teacher Space provides educational and informational content for primary teachers, including GEMs (short educational videos on teaching practice), Circular Clarities (plain-English summaries and discussion of Department of Education circulars and related matters), and associated resources such as posters, checklists, and audio briefings. This content is general information and professional discussion only. It is not legal advice, industrial-relations advice, financial advice, or an official interpretation of Department of Education policy. Our summaries and commentary are our own reading of the relevant documents and are provided to save you time, not to replace the original sources. You remain responsible for your own professional decisions. Where a matter affects your pay, employment, entitlements, or a formal process, you should consult the original official documents, your school management, and/or your trade union. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions taken, or not taken, in reliance on our content. We make reasonable efforts to ensure our content is accurate and current at the time of publication, but official circulars and policies change, and we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or error-free.
4. Membership, pricing and billing
Membership options: Annual Membership — €100, billed every 12 months; 6-Month Membership — €60, billed every 6 months. All prices are in euro (€) and are inclusive of Irish VAT at the applicable rate. Recurring billing and auto-renewal: memberships are recurring subscriptions. By subscribing, you authorise us (via our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method the applicable fee at the start of each billing cycle, automatically, until you cancel. Your membership will renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will take reasonable steps to make the recurring nature of the subscription clear at the point of purchase. It is your responsibility to keep your payment details current. Price changes: we may change membership prices. Any price change will not affect the current paid term; we will give reasonable notice before a change takes effect on renewal, and you may cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue at the new price.
5. What your membership includes
Active members receive access to member-only content for the duration of their paid membership, including Jennifer's GEMs and Ciaran's Circular Clarities, plus a personalised strand selected at sign-up. Content is released on an ongoing basis over the course of your membership; we do not guarantee that any specific quantity of content will be available at any given time, and the library grows over the membership term. Access is granted to you personally. You may not share your login, distribute, copy, redistribute, or publicly post our content or download links.
6. Cancellation, renewal and refunds
Cancelling: you may cancel your membership at any time through your account area (or by contacting us). When you cancel, your membership remains active until the end of your current paid term, and it will not renew after that. You will continue to have access until the end of the term you have paid for. Cooling-off period (digital content): under EU consumer law you may have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase made at a distance. However, where you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal by doing so, the cooling-off right may not apply once access has been provided. At checkout you will be asked to consent to immediate access on this basis. Refunds: except where required by law (including any applicable cooling-off right above), membership fees are non-refundable once access to member content has been provided. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.
7. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, including where content is shared or distributed in breach of sections 5 or 8.
8. Intellectual property
All content provided through Teacher Space — including videos, audio, written materials, posters, checklists, graphics, and the arrangement of the site — is owned by or licensed to Teacher Space Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own professional use for the duration of your membership. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly display, or share the content or access links without our written permission. Where our content refers to or summarises third-party materials (such as Department of Education circulars), those materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used in accordance with the applicable terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the website or service unlawfully, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, not to disrupt the service, and not to use it in any way that infringes the rights of others.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for interruptions outside our reasonable control, including issues with third-party hosting, payment, or content-delivery providers.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: our content is provided "as is" for general informational and educational purposes; we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on the content (see section 3); and our total liability to you in connection with your membership shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the membership term in which the relevant event arose. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law (including the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018). Please see our Privacy Policy for details.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
